Perfect accommodation!

Earthbound B&B is an absolute gem if you are looking for accommodation in Oudtshoorn. Only stayed for 1 night for business but could easily have stayed longer! Beautiful, clean and creative accommodation and well equipped - they have really thought of everything and we didn't need anything. Lovely home made rusks and muffin left in the room for us to enjoy. Would not hesitate for a moment to book here again, in fact, looking forward to it.

5-star guesthouse

Wow … what a jewel … the place is amazing and sets the bar very high for other guesthouses. The owner has put a lot of thought in what is needed to satisfy her guests and it shows in every little detail.

The rooms are spotless, the garden and pool area inviting and relaxing, and the breakfast is delicious.

The staff are friendly and professional.

We would definitely go back and recommend this place.

Truly stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve ever had

I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but Earthbound Guest House in Oudtshoorn truly stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, Ayla welcomed me with such warmth, positivity, and probably the biggest smile in the world — she made me feel at home instantly. The rest of the team was equally kind, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout my stay.

The cleanliness of this place is on another level. I rarely come across hotels this spotless and well-maintained. Everything feels carefully prepared with love and attention to detail.

A special mention also goes to whoever prepares the breakfast every morning — absolutely amazing! Easily one of the best breakfasts I had during my South Africa trip.

Another thing I really appreciated was the incredibly detailed information provided in the rooms. The brochures and guides are exceptionally well prepared, covering both the hotel and all the activities and attractions around Oudtshoorn in such a clear and thoughtful way. It made exploring the area so much easier and more enjoyable.

And finally, the peaceful atmosphere of the neighborhood is something truly special. It’s quiet, relaxing, and beautiful — honestly, I didn’t want to leave.

Thank you to Ayla and the entire Earthbound team for creating such a memorable stay. I would return without hesitation.

Very welcoming and friendly host, who assisted with any questions we had and made our stay very pleasant and comfortable. Communication was also excellent during the entire booking process.
The rooms were very clean and a great size with all amenities required and much more. The bed was comfortable and the super hot shower was wonderful.
The breakfast was next level, with two courses and very delicious.
Great Wi-Fi connection and secure off street parking available.
Highly recommended.

Earthbound Guesthouse was truly fantastic

Our experience at Earthbound Guesthouse was truly fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. We were able to check in quickly and fully enjoy the quiet and pleasant surroundings.

We had dinner there in the evening, and it was highly recommended: delicious, homemade food made with local ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble, and the hospitality was top-notch.

Because we left early in the morning to go see the meerkats, it was especially nice that we could return at our leisure for breakfast and check out calmly. That kind of flexibility and service really makes all the difference.

We can only highly recommend this guesthouse!

Clear recommendation ♡

Incredibly warm welcome, not intrusive, like coming home. This is the motto of the hostess and exactly what she conveys. The room is fully equipped, including a private bathroom, even with laundry service ♡ The property is secure, there is a private parking space available, as well as a pool for free use. There is a booklet with recommendations nearby (restaurants, etc.). The location is great, in the village there are gas stations, shops, restaurants, fast food, etc. Around there are, for example: a waterfall for hiking, a tour to observe meerkats. At check-out, I had forgotten my necklace in the room and was notified via WhatsApp, so I could pick it up. Thankfully, we were still nearby hiking. ☆☆☆☆☆ for honesty is thus added. Should we be in the area again, we would gladly return ♡

Tasteful decor, very nice landlord. Unfortunately, we were only passing through for one night. One could have spent 1-2 more nights there. 😊

Great accommodation and host!

The room and bathroom were super clean, very well located, and had a large private terrace. Many little amenities that we really appreciated. The pool and garden area were also beautifully maintained. I can recommend it 100%! Very warm and with a lot of attention to detail. We loved it there and were totally delighted.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

It is not often that the pictures don't do justice to the accommodation, but that is certainly the case here. The room and bathroom was beautiful and clean. Small touches that make a difference after a long road trip. The breakfast was absolutely yummy and presented like a gourmet meal. Thank you Earthbound, we will be back.

Not our first time and definitely not our last time. Everything is just amazing. We can not find any fault.
